Emergency services scrambled to cliffs in South Shields
Emergency services are on scene at the cliffs in South Shields.

Police are currently at the cliffs, near to the Marsden Grotto pub, along with the fire service, ambulance and coastguard.
Further details of the incident have not yet been confirmed by the emergency services.
A spokesman from the Coastguard said: "Sunderland Coastguard and South Shields volunteers are assisting police with an incident and are on scene now."

A spokesman for the North East Ambulance Service also confirmed that a crew was in attendance.
A passer-by, who did not wish to be named, said he saw four coastguard crews, three fire engines, and four police cars at the scene.
