A leading arts project has a new woman at the helm.
Emma Horsman has been appointed as project director of the Cultural Spring, an Arts Council-funded initiative to promote arts in South Tyneside and Sunderland.
She said: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed project director of such a prestigious and successful arts project. My role isn’t just about maintaining the very high standards set, but looking to the future. Our current funding runs out at the end of this year, but we’re already working on our bid for a further three years of funding.
“If we are fortunate enough to get funding for round two, we’ll be able to expand and explore further. I think that would involve working more closely with the private and voluntary sectors to deliver more across the area.”
