Emotional day as youngsters say farewell to Jarrow tots group

It was an emotional day as the youngsters, who attend TeddyTots based at Hedworthfield Community Centre, Jarrow, took part in the ceremony as part of their farewells to the tots group they had been part of since the age of two.

The event, involving 11 children, was attended by their parents as well as some of the centre’s Trustees and staff.

The ceremony is aimed at celebrating the journey they have taken to date, and to wish them well as they embark on a new life chapter.

Dressed in their graduation robes and caps, the youngsters showcased their vocal talents by singing songs. Their performance was followed by an afternoon tea and fun on the bouncy castle. Kelly Donnison TeddyTots Co-ordinator said: “Most of the children leaving have attended TeddyTots since they were two years old. It was a very emotional day and the children were outstanding. We are all very proud of them and wish them lots of luck for their new journey in reception.”
