WE are off to a great start in this year’s What’s On Where awards.

Entries have been arriving in impressive numbers for our competition which aims to reward the elite in everything from restaurants to children’s venues, takeaways to parks and community areas, and hotels to the best shopping experience.

But we want more and we need your nominations.

We are looking for the very best in the arts, culture, hospitality and leisure sectors of South Tyneside and Wearside, and Gazette readers can nominate their own favourites.

The awards are held in association with our weekly entertainments guide, Wow 24/7. It’s only the second time we have held the awards and we want to build on the success of last year’s great inaugural competition.
