Various comments have been posted in support of Johnson, as well as some criticising his victim.

The ex-England international, 28, was found guilty by a jury at Bradford Crown Court last week of one count of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.

He was found not guilty by the same jury of a similar charge.

At the beginning of his trial the former Middlesbrough and Manchester City winger also pleaded guilty to grooming the schoolgirl and kissing

her.

He is expected to be handed a significant prison sentence when he returns to the court later this month.

Johnson's defence team indicated at the end of the trial that he would be launching an appeal.
