FOOTBALLING youngsters have been showing off their skills alongside their parents at a week-long football camp.
Representatives from Sunderland Foundation were at Low Simonside Community Centre, in Taunton Avenue, as part of CE Sports’ week of footballing fun.
The visit saw them deliver the family foundation course, which aims to encourage learning and play together, through the use of football.
The event was organised by CE Sports, which also delivers football sessions at its base at Chuter Ede Community Centre, in South Shields.
About 20 youngsters aged between four and 13 years old attended the event with their families.
Owner Paul Kirton said: “Since we launched at Low Simonside CA last year, we have seen our numbers rise.
“We have had an excellent turnout throughout the week and everyone who has attended has had fun.
“We are really pleased with how things are going and having Sunderland Foundation support us, once again, was a great way to start the year.”
CE Sports already runs football sessions at Low Simonside CA every Thursday.
Activities start at 5pm until 6pm for those aged between four and six, and from 6pm to 7pm for those aged seven and over.
