Wearside stars have been sharing their derby day delight after Sunderland secured a record-breaking victory over Newcastle United.

Goals from Adam Johnson, Billy Jones and Steven Fletcher gave the club a remarkable sixth consecutive victory over their local rivals.

Former England cricketer and Black Cats supporter Paul Collingwood was betting on his team notching up another win over their north east neighbours.

He was so confident of victory he put his money where his mouth is by laying a stake on a home win.

He took to Twitter to toast his good news with his legions of followers.
