Fear worse on the way

In reply to Derek Moulding's (local historian and photographer) letter of January 22, I have no need for my own personal rain cloud due to the recent spate of inclement weather.

The Friday in question was the previous one which was quite drizzly.

If you think the ‘flying saucer’ hub and the cock-eyed BT building sit well in the area then bully for you, but at least the much maligned Wouldhave House blended in with the market square and as for the ridiculous canopy – least said the better.

Anyway, I fear there is worse to come with the construction of an unnecessary grand transport interchange, which will replace one dreadful concrete monstrosity with another.

Furthermore when it’s built it might be a good idea for our beloved councillors to invite the refurbished locomotive Flying Scotsman from York Railway museum to pay a visit. Ho Ho Ho!
