Residents in South Tyneside are being advised of closures to council buildings over the Christmas and New Year period.
South Tyneside Council buildings will close from 4pm on Christmas Eve and re-open on Monday, January 4.
Those affected include: South Shields Town Hall and Civic Offices, day centres, libraries, Landreth House, Jarrow Town Hall, Star Centre, and STANLEY Day Care.
Temple Park Centre, Jarrow Community Pool and Monkton will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and will re-open as normal on Monday, January 4.
Haven Point leisure complex and Hebburn Central will only close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
However, opening and closing times will vary – visit www.southtyneside.gov.uk/leisure for further details.
Emergency and essential services will be maintained over the Christmas and New Year period.

The Customer Contact Centre will be taking calls as usual on (0191) 427 7000, but at the following times: Thursday, December 24, from 8am to 4pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 29 and 30, 8am to 8pm, and Thursday, December 31, from 8am to 4pm.
The Customer Contact Centre will close at 4pm on Thursday, December 24, and reopen Tuesday, December 29.
It will then close on at 4pm on Thursday, December 31, and will reopen as normal on Monday, January 4.
