A South Tyneside estate is gearing up to host a free day of family fun.
Cleadon Park Regeneration Partnership has once again organised the event held each year at Ridgeway Primary School.
The event, lasting from 11am tol 2pm, will feature a range of activities, including a chocolate tombola, arts and crafts, face painting, inflatable assault course, cups and kiddies corner.
Wizadora and Zoo Academy will also be making an appearance.
The fun day, which will be opened by the Mayor of South Tyneside Coun Richard Porthouse, has been put together by the regeneration partnership made up of representatives from South Tyneside Council, South Tyneside Homes, ISOS Housing, Bellway Homes, Ridgeway Children’s Centre, Ridgeway Primary School and the Cleadon Park Residents’ Association.
Last year’s event attracted hundreds of visitors and organisers are hoping this year will be just as successful.
The fun day will take place on Wednesday, August 12.
Cleadon Park Councillor Alex Donaldson said: “The Cleadon Park fun day is a great event which helps to bring the community together. There is real feel-good factor about the event.”
“We had more than 600 people last year come through the gates and we are hoping this year will be even bigger and better.
“A lot of hard work goes into organising the day and everyone is welcome to come along.
He added: “There will be the usual bouncy castles and other activities happening on the day to entertain the youngsters.
“All we can hope for now is the sun to come out on the day.”
