Former Perth Green favourite Andy Barclay has rejoined the club after an absence of five years.

The former Jarrow skipper, who had a spell at South Shields after leaving the club, links up again with Bell and goes into the squad for tomorrow’s home game against Gateshead Leam Rangers.

Bell said: “We have Paul Trosh and Gary Frater missing, and Nick Pain and Reece Moore injured. Grant Pressling is doubtful with an injury picked up last week but Andy Wilkinson is expected to recover from his knock in the same game.

“The good news is that Andrew Barclay joins the squad, bringing with him great experience that will help the rest of the lads, and I am absolutely delighted he has chosen to join us again.

“James Allsop returns to the squad following an injury that has kept him out for four months.”

Jarrow bowed out of the Wearside League Cup last weekend after a thrilling 5-4 defeat against Stockton Town.

Stockton had led 5-1 with just a couple of minutes remaining, but Jarrow almost pulled off one of the great comebacks after a sensational rally.

“We are looking to start the game as we finished against Stockton,” added Bell.

“Leam Rangers only sit three points behind us in the table but we have a game in hand and it is important that we pick up three points and increase the gap between us.

“It is important that we put a good run together in the league as we look to build on the previous league game when we beat Wolviston.

“But we know this will be a tough game against a team that will be looking to close the points gap that we have over them in the lead up to the game.”

Boldon CA, meanwhile, have received a number of injury boosts ahead of their home game against Silksworth.

Manager Paul Mossa is delighted to have leading scorer Adam Bell back on his team sheet.

Another boost is the news that long-term injury victim James Pickering, who was sidelined with a broken shoulder, played 10 minutes last week and is expected to feature for a longer period tomorrow.

Adam Sharp and Shaun Bell are also back in full-time training and could be involved.

Meanwhile, Harton and Westoe travel to Prudhoe Town with manager Jason Jones hoping new signing Shaun Reay can continue his impact at the club after he scored in midweek against Hartlepool.
