A chance to enjoy all the fun of the fair and raise funds for charity is on offer at a special event in South Tyneside next month.
The Ocean Beach Pleasure Park in South Shields has donated specially-priced tickets giving people more than £30 worth of rides for just £5 each.
These can only be used on Saturday, October 24, and all funds raised will go to the Mayor’s Charity.
People can buy two types of tickets for people under or over 1.2 metres in height, allowing all the family to enjoy the day out.
This year the Mayor of South Tyneside, Coun Richard Porthouse, is raising funds for three worthy causes.
They are Cancer Connections, the Great North Air Ambulance and the South Tyneside branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Mayor said: “I’m very grateful to Ocean Beach Pleasure Park for their generous offer, which will allow people to enjoy a fantastic family day out while also raising funds for worthy causes in South Tyneside.”
Michael Sheeran, owner/operator at Ocean Beach, said: “We are happy to be supporting the Mayor’s charity again this year and helping to raise funds for three great causes.
“The day is a chance for people to come along, have fun and also help raise money and awareness.
“We have hosted this day for a number of years and it always proves to be a success.”
There will be various rides, amusements and stalls on offer throughout the event for families to join in with and enjoy.
Tickets can be bought from the civic office at Jarrow Town Hall or by calling (0191) 424 7311 or 424 7256.
