She said: “I am honoured to be this year’s recipient of the Global Gift Gala Philanthropist Award.

“I’m proud of where I grew up, but I’m only too aware of the challenges that young people face.

“I want to give back and help young people who feel like they’ll never achieve anything reach their dreams and live a happy life.”

The 32-year-old recently confirmed she was not returning to judge on the popular ITV show to focus on her music career.

Former Boyzone member Keating will be awarded the Global Gift Excellence award, honouring the work he’s done for the cancer charity he set up in memory of his late mother, the Marie Keating Foundation.

Singer Johnny Hallyday’s wife, Laeticia, will also be honoured, as will French singer Line Renaud.

Longoria, whose own charity will also benefit from the evening, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be returning to Paris for our seventh Global Gift Gala.
