Hang heads in shame

Now the councils are closing disabled centres, a lifeline for disabled people leaving them isolated and desperate.

This Government has already taken away their money, mobility cars, wheelchairs, equipment and anything else they pay for.

Just because they lose their Personal Independence Payment (PIP) doesn’t mean that they have had a miraculous recovery.

Most of these disabled people have long standing illnesses, such as my son who has epilepsy.

He still requires the same level of care as he did before PIP and the worst thing about this system, if you are refused PIP you don’t get the carer’s allowance, £30 per week for hour-care.

This is a disgusting way to treat carers who save our Government millions each year.

This is downright callous and the Government and councils should bow their heads in shame for the way in which they treat disabled people. A disgusted carer
