A running enthusiast has launched his latest route in a bid to give runners a new challenge.
Luke Adams, a fitness and running coach, already has the monthly mile and park run events under his belt.

Now, he has put together a new trail run series which will take runners through Marsden Old Quarry in South Shields.
The three-mile course was put together after the 27-year-old, from Tarragon Way, South Shields, took part in the Stockton trail run series and saw how popular it was.
Mr Adams said: “I’ve been taking part in the Stockton event and saw how popular it was with runners, so after talking to the organisers I set about putting together a route for runners here in South Tyneside.
“I have been going on runs through the quarry for the past 12 years.
“It is quite a scenic route and I thought it was a great route in which to create a trail series event.”
The trail run series will run throughout the summer and is open to adults and children over the age of 14, and those taking part must be comfortable in their running ability.
Mr Adams added: “It is ideal for those who are looking for a bit of a challenge or who are training for the Tough Mudder. The route itself is not the easiest of courses so people who are wanting to take part must be comfortable in their running ability.”
The run will involve trails, steps, hills and mud, and aims to help improve runners strength, fitness levels as well as help them in their trail and fell running.
The first event will take place on Sunday, with following events on Sunday, July 12, and Sunday, August 9.
The run starts at 9.30am, however, people are asked to arrive for registration at 9.10am.
People can enter to take part online or on the day if space is available.
Meanwhile, for those just starting out in running, Mr Adams hosts the monthly mile event on the first Tuesday of the month.
The timed route takes runners on a lap along Sea Road and Bents Park Road.
The event regularly attracts about 70 people of all ages and abilities – with runs for beginners, intermediates and advanced.
