Hidden costs of caring
Some 172,000 migrants arrived last year, thats the population of South Tyneside. They all have parents back home. what happens as they all age? Do the migrants return home, or do they bring their elderly parents over to the UK?
As immigration rises, a possible million, elderly, non-English speaking migrants, entitled to NHS treatment, could be in the UK after joining their children here. We will then need more retirement and dementia homes, all having to cope with different languages and cultures. The cost will be astronomical. No political party has come to this realisation.
