Hunt for driver after car crashes into bus stop and garden wall
Police are hunting a driver after a car crashed into a bus stop and garden wall.
The incident happened today in Calf Close Lane, Jarrow, at around 3.30pm.
A section of garden wall at one property had been demolished and a window smashed in a bus shelter just yards away.
It is understood the driver of the vehicle, which was also damaged, had left the scene shortly afterwards.
Northumbria Police is investigating.
