Is it the end for Steve McClaren at Newcastle?
Steve McClaren faces the media today amid calls from fans for him to be sacked.
Newcastle United's beleaguered head coach has presided over a disastrous campaign.
McClaren's relegation-threatened side are 19th in the Premier League with 11 games left to play.
And there have been more calls for him to be dismissed since the club, Europe's biggest spenders in January's transfer window, suffered a demoralising sixth successive away defeat in the league in midweek.
McClaren told journalists he expected to stay in charge after the 1-0 loss to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Gazette reported last month that the 54-year-old's job was on the line, and United managing director Lee Charnley knows time is running out to make a managerial change.
Newcastle take on Bournemouth at St James's Park tomorrow.
And a defeat could spell the end of McClaren's nine-month tenure at the club.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail today claimed that McClaren and his staff were "losing the trust of their squad".
