A HUSBAND and wife team are hoping success is in store in the new year – after getting switched on to a hi-tech business plan.

Jonathan and Deborah Place set up their own IT firm, Integrity Technology, based in Hedworth Lane, Boldon Colliery, in February.

The couple, both 38, offer retail services to the general public, such as repairing and selling lap-tops, computers and tablets, as well as supply and maintenance support to scores of businesses across the North East.

Mr Place, who has 20 years of experience working in IT, is optimistic for 2015 after a year of big investment in the fledgling business.

He said: “We have had a great response, and have been very busy. We are getting a lot of repeat work, and there has been a lot of positive word of mouth. We have invested thousands of pounds into getting the shop fitted out and opened.

“That is all done, and we are hoping to get the rewards for our work in the new year.

“It is very much a business in the community, offering a service to the public.”

Integrity Technology employs two members of staff in the shop, Mrs Place and full-time worker Lewis Noble, with Mr Place and two other employers on the road meeting the demands of businesses.
