It's a canopy dilemma

I was down the town on Friday and was amazed to see the market stalls that had been positioned outside the TSB in Barrington Street were back in their usual place at the south side of ye olde town hall (the side without a silly canopy).

I then noticed that on the north side (the side with a silly canopy) only half the stalls were in use (OK it was raining).

Anyway I thought the south side was going to be connected to St Hilda’s Church with grass lawns and vicarage tea parties in the summer months in the shadow of a great flying saucer hub to boot.

If I was a younger man with a ship I’d sail away.

I’ve been told the Pier Head clock is back to being stuck on 12’oclock.
