Plans to increase the upper age limit at a South Tyneside school are set to be discussed at a forthcoming meeting of the council’s decision-making body.
The governing body of Epinay Business and Enterprise School in Clervaux Terrace, Jarrow, is hoping to create a sixth form.
The plans will be raised at the next meeting of South Tyneside’s Cabinet at 4pm on Wednesday, December 16, at Jarrow Town Hall.

Epinay Business & Enterprise School is a Co-operative Trust School caters for children and young people from four to 18 years of age (including post-16) with a wide range of special educational and complex needs.
The school also caters for young people who have identified chromosomal and clinical conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Timothy Syndrome and Neurofibromatosis.
