Joe, from Westoe, who also triumphed on Popstar to Opera Star, completed his latest charity cycle at the Customs House on Sunday.

He arrived back there after cycling 250-mile and raising almost £10,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Customs House’s executive director, Ray Spencer, said: “We’re thrilled to have Joe back at the theatre.

“He already has a huge fanbase but I’m sure his fantastic turn as Joseph can only have helped that fanbase grow.”
