There were ghoulish goings-on at the Viking Shopping Centre, Jarrow, as Count Zombie Don invited youngsters to go on a ‘Trick or Treat’ Hunt.

Children collected stickers at four shops in the centre and then exchanged their completed entry form for a Halloween gift.

All names collected were put into the witch’s cauldron and one lucky winner will receive a Halloween prize.

For those who liked pulling faces, photos were taken in a ‘Gurn and Earn’ competition all photos taken are to be posted onto the Centre’s facebook page.

The three scariest faces receiving the most ‘likes’ and ‘comments’ by Monday, November 9, will each receive a ‘ghastly gift’ with one winner receiving a£25 gift voucher.

Halloween increases in popularity each year,” says Lee Kimber, centre manager of the Viking Shopping Centre.

“With trick and treating and hideous face pulling, as well as a Zombie roaming around the shops, the Viking Centre was certainly a scary place on Saturday.”

Little monsters from Jarrow visiting the Centre this week can still take part in the sticker hunt* as this does not close until 5pm on All Hallows Eve.
