Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua is the latest sporting star who will appear at the Hedworth Hall in Dean Road - and he could be world champion by then

His appearance, on Friday April 15, will come a week after the 26-year-old’s fight against Charles Martin for the IBF world heavyweight title. His visit follows in the footsteps of some of the world’s boxing greats who have also visited the South Shields venue, including Sugar Ray and Larry Holmes.
