Letter of the week: 'Hebburn is the town that time forgot'
One of the few pleasures  I have since retiring is going  to Hebburn sauna on a Saturday  morning for a chat with the lads.
However, for the last five weeks it’s been broken, someone said the part is coming from Timbuktu but I can’t be sure.
This would not happen at Little Haven in Shields, it would be fixed the same week.
Hebburn is the town that time forgot, nobody’s interested in us.
Anyway enough of my moaning, I’m sure it will be fixed by Christmas, and if it’s not I’m a time served mechanical engineer I’ll come out of retirement and fix it myself.
