LITTLE Mix look set to clinch their second number one.
The girl group, which includes South Shields girls Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, are due to release their second single, Wings, on August 19 and hype surrounding the release of their first original song has been massive among fans.
The official music video was posted to video-sharing site YouTube at around 6pm on Wednesday and has already racked up more than 320,000 views.
The band, which also includes Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, released their first single, a cover of Damien Rice’s Cannonball, after becoming the first group to win the X Factor last year.
It went to number one in the charts.
And popularity surrounding the new video could suggest this song will be just as successful.
A teaser video, featuring the lyrics of the song, was posted online three weeks ago, and similarly received thousands of hits within the first few hours.
The video features the girls dancing in an abandoned warehouse along to the catchy pop tune, which is all about ignoring people who try to bring you down.
The girls wear three different outfits in the video which show off their individual styles.
They also dance individually in front of backdrops that describe their personalities. Perrie, 19, from Whiteleas, South Shields, dubbed the hippy of the group, is shown in front of a wall which is decorated with flowers and vinyl records.
While Jade, 19, from Laygate, South Shields, is surrounded by a display of bow ties, which have become part of her signature style.
High Wycombe’s Leigh-Anne, 19, stands in front of a graffiti-decorated wall and Jesy, 21, from Romford, in London is shown in front of a wall decorated with ghetto blasters.
At the end of the video, the girls are joined by a group of male dancers as they dance together in front of a giant union flag.
