Seasonal fun is on offer at Hebburn throughout December.
An array of music and library events have been lined up at Hebburn Central leisure complex.
Visitors will be able to sing along to Christmas songs by children from Toner Avenue School.
There will also be festive music from Hebburn Comprehensive School band, the Westoe Brass Ensemble and jazz quartet Vieux Carre Jazzmen.
Hebburn Central’s entertainment programme also features a range of Christmas-themed activities including seasonal storytelling and baby bounce, Christmas Crackers balloon modelling and face painting, Mr Twister and an Early Years Christmas Party.
The festivities on offer at Hebburn Central will take place up until Tuesday, December 22
Coun Alan Kerr, deputy leader of South Tyneside Council, with responsibility for culture and leisure, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to Hebburn to get into the festive spirit and embrace this very special time of year.
“I would encourage people to come along and enjoy the live music on offer as well as take part in the centre’s variety of Christmas library activities.”
Shoppers will also be able to enjoy an array of entertainment in South Shields and Jarrow town centres, with local school choirs, school bands and brass bands.
The festive entertainment runs up until Christmas Eve.
This year’s Christmas Wonderland 2015 events programme has been organised by South Tyneside Council with support from Colmans fish and chips and Tyne and Wear Metro, and in partnership with BBC Newcastle.
