The champagne is on ice as a reality TV star gets set to make the ‘white’ impression at a popular South Tyneside bar.

The Marsden Grotto, in South Shields, will be laying out the red carpet for a party night mixing champagne and celebrity with bubbly Made in Chelsea personality Jamie Lang swapping his London lifestyle to sample the delights of the borough.

The venue’s first ever White Party night gets under way at 6pm on Saturday, with white Moet champagne flowing and a champagne bar and champagne cocktails being served up throughout the night.

Entry is free but it must be all white on the night – with revellers urged to dress to impress in their finest white attire.

A range of VIP packages – including reserved tables and a magnum of moet champagne – will also be on offer.

There will be a special beach performance by a bongo player as well as a DJ, party photography and an array of prizes for customers including a bottle of Moët imperial worth £400.

The party is expected to be in full swing until midnight.

Free transport will then be laid on to take guests to the after-show party at Tup Tup Palace in Newcastle.

Jamie will be taking centre stage at the seafront watering-hole from 10pm.

Jade Quittenton, events manager of The Marsden Grotto said: “We want to give customers a real VIP night.”
