Man found dead at house in South Shields

A South Tyneside man in his 20s has been found dead.

South Tyneside coroner Terence Carney has opened an investigation after Lee Adamson’s body was found yesterday.

The 23-year-old, of St Vincent Street, South Shields, was found at a relative’s house.

A post mortem examination has been carried out but the cause of death is not yet known.

A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “At 9.40am on Wednesday, February 24, police attended an address in St Vincent Street, in South Shields, after a man in his 20s had been pronounced dead.

“There is believed to be no third party involvement and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
