Missing man with 'serious injury' last seen leaving South Tyneside District Hospital

Officers are keen to locate missing Mark Thompson who was last seen leaving South Tyneside District Hospital on Saturday, February 27 at around 8am.

Police believe that the 37-year-old has sustained a serious injury to his stomach but left the hospital before receiving any treatment.

Mark is described as around 6ft tall, bald and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing a blue hat, black face mask with a grey hooded top, a navy jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Officers leading the search say that they are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and are appealing to members of the public for help in finding him.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts, is asked to get in touch immediately by calling 101 and quoting log number 275 27/02/21 or use the Tell us Something page on the Northumbria Police website.
