A South Tyneside-based catering design and installation firm has expanded its team with the recruitment of a new senior designer.
Alan Jobson has joined Restaurant Design Associates (RDA) at Monkton Business Park in Hebburn.
His role at the company will include leading on all aspects of the design process for clients and tailoring solutions to meet their requirements and budgets.
He will work closely with a range of facilities managers, architects, contractors and local authorities to develop designed for projects including hospitals, schools, blue chip companies and independent restaurants.
In the past his work has been featured on BBC Two’s Britain’s Dream Homes, where his design of a ground-floor apartment was crowned the winner in the category ‘Best Factory Conversion’.
He has also redesigned a bedsit for BBC One’s Homes under the Hammer.
Alan said: “Working for RDA is an opportunity for me to work on cutting-edge designs within the hospitality industry, while working with a talented team of individuals who all bring their unique skills to the company.
“I’m very much looking forward to being part of a company which focuses on restaurant design – particularly because I’m hugely interested in all things foodie.”
Roy Addyman, managing director of RDA, said: “Alan is a highly creative, skilled designer who has a wealth of experience in all aspects of the design process.
“He clearly has a keen eye for detail and a very impressive portfolio, and we’re delighted to welcome him as the first of our new recruits in 2016.”
