An enterprising South Tyneside couple are promising revellers a ‘wild’ night out after striking up a new business partnership.
Mark Symington, 23 and girlfriend Antonia Chawner, 25, are swinging open the doors to their very own town centre nightclub tomorrow night.
The ambitious duo took over the reins of Wicked nightclub, in Ocean Road, South Shields, and have rebranded the premises Club Wild after tying up a pioneering radio station link-up.
The pair previously worked at the club under its previous guise, Mark as manager and Antonia as supervisor, but are now ready to take centre stage.
The fledgling club owners have joined forces with Ben Wild, owner of internet radio station, Wild Radio, who has been installed as event manager and resident DJ of the club, and will broadcast future club events live on the station.
Doors will open at 9pm tomorrow night, for a glitzy opening bash, featuring live entertainment from Kelly Llorenna, who found fame with her smash hit dance track Set You Free in 1995.

The club will open every Friday and Saturday night, with a rich array of popular dance acts lined up to keep feet moving on the dance floor
Mr Symington, who is also a coach at Marsden Cricket Club, said: “It doesn’t feel real at the moment. When we told our families, my dad’s first thought was would he get a free drink.
“We have got a lot of great entertainment lined up for the opening night.”
Miss Chawner added: “We want to have a lot of big events in here, with theme nights and live entertainment and acts. We have had a lot of interest and the opening night will be a sell out.”
Events manager Ben Wild added: “They both have a lot of business sense. We want to get this club booming again.”
The launch night will run until 3am, with the club opening each Friday from 10pm until 2.30am and from 9pm to 2.30am on Saturdays.
