Under-fire Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren is facing a host of issues ahead of the Stoke City clash.

McClaren took his Newcastle United players to La Manag during an 18-day break between Premier League fixtures, and the Magpies benefited from twice daily sessions and a friendly game against Lillestrom.
McClaren has a number of issues facing him though including the captaincy, sorting out a leaky defence and how to get the best out of the likes of Ayoze Perez.

"We have sat down and had a lot of meetings and we have got loads of talent, that’s the frustrating thing about it," said Lascelles.
"We've got so much talent and shouldn't be in the position that we are in.
"That is just football for you. I'm not worried about anything, [the Lillestrom win] shows just how well we can play.
"We just need to take that confidence, because I think that is what it is, to do the job at home and away games."
