* North East Live Traffic has reported that a pedestrian is on the southbound carriageway of the A1(M) approaching the Washington Services.
They are warning drivers to approach with caution.
TYNE AND WEAR METRO - last update 3pmpm
A Nexus spokesman said: "A train broke down at Brockley Whins Metro station at about 11.30am today.
"This resulted in a service suspension between Pelaw and East Boldon for about 50 minutes until the failed train could be moved.
"We’re sorry to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
*Due to a technical fault the main lift at Monument is out of service.
Passengers requiring step free access are advised to use Central, Haymarket or St James.

*Stagecoach North East has said that there will be an overnight closure of Crossgate in South Shields from 8pm tonight, Monday, February 4, for five nights.
*Go North East has said some services are delayed due to a lane closure on the Wearmouth Bridge.
