Children at Nursery Time Kindergarten have been paying their own tribute on Remembrance Day.

The children, from the Beach Road school in South Shields, learnt about the significance of Remembrance Day and the poppy.

They watched the Remembrance service and took part in the two-minute silence.

Each of the age groups - Brown Bears (preschool), Cubs (two to three years) and Teds (six weeks to two years), made their own poppy wreaths and took them along to Westoe Cenotaph.

The children also practised marching.
