Motorists are advised to expect diversions as resurfacing work gets underway on one of South Shield’s main roads next week.
Ocean Road in South Shields will be closed to traffic between Baring Street and Roman Road to enable the resurfacing work to be carried out.
The resurfacing is taking place from Monday 15 to Friday 19 June, and from Tuesday 23 to Wednesday 24 June, between 8.30am and 6pm.
Diversions will be in place along Seafield Terrace, Beach Road and Anderson Street and Shortridge Street will remain open during the works.
South Tyneside Council has said it apologies for any inconvenience.
