A Non-League striker has scored an international accolade with a world class goal.
Warren Byrne, striker for South Shields FC, went viral last week after his volley against Tow Law Town hit the headlines, and stormed the internet.
Now, Byrne has won CNN's "Goal of the Week" prize - taking 95 per cent of the vote.

The striker was up against players from Cincinnati, US Avranches and Monterrey - but his superb goal has attracted millions of Youtube views, and caught the imaginations of fans around the world.
Today, Byrne also appeared on Soccer AM, to take part in some of the show's regular features.
