Rafa Benitez's side are odds-on favourites to record a 10th successive victory.

But Blackburn manager Coyle feels his team can cause an upset on Tyneside.

“The level we’re at, people will envisage Newcastle away to be the toughest game of the season," said Coyle.

“I’m under no illusions, but what a fantastic game to look forward to.

“It’s a brilliant game for us to go there and show that we’re a decent team, and a game we certainly feel if we’re at our best we’re capable of getting a positive result from.

“I’m sure people will have written us off already, but if they have then they have certainly not watched our recent performances, because I believe we have enough to trouble the opposition.

“The atmosphere will be the same because they sell out every week, such is the passion of their fans.

“But equally we have taken good followings to our away games and they have got behind the team and we want to go away from home and represent them and do well in the game and I believe we can do that.”
