Passengers face Monday morning Metro misery due to delays

Metro passengers are facing delays due to problems with a section of track.

The Metro service warned of delays following a fault on the track.

The service advised people there are delays of up to 15 minutes between South Shields and St James, before an update which said the hold-up could be as long as 25 minutes.

The issue is being caused due to a track circuit fault.
