13 pictures of people enjoying the sunny spells and warmer weather in South Shields

Spring has finally sprung, and in time for the half term holidays.

While it hasn’t been as hot as other parts of the country – and the sea fret has hidden the view and the sunshine from the coast for large spells – both residents and visitors have been enjoying getting out and about in South Tyneside.

Temperatures have been around 15 degrees, and are set to climb to around 20 by early next week.

It has certainly been a lot warmer than earlier in the spring, when South Tyneside was dogged by cold temperatures and regular rain, and families and friends have been enjoying the school holidays – or just an extra few days tagged on to the bank holiday weekend.
