Dad-of-one Chris was left stunned during Strictly’s results show, which aired on Sunday, November 24, as he and Karen were confirmed as through to the quarter-finals.

The South Shields comedian, who scored just 13 marks in the first live show of the series, is yet to fall in the show’s bottom two and has repeatedly thanked the public for their unwavering support so far.

And as the results show aired, showing Chris and Karen wildly celebrating surviving another week, the professional dancer took to social media to pay tribute to her partner.

In a touching post on Instagram, Karen said: “If you would have asked me on week one if I thought Chris Ramsey was gonna make the quarter final I would have giggled, but back then I didn’t know how hard this boy from South Shields was going to work.

“I’m so proud of your commitment to this show, learning words like ‘kick ball change’ and ‘botafogo as well as actually dancing them!
