Fire crews rescue Bedlington Terrier dog from sinkhole in Whitburn
A 16-month old Bedlington Terrier has been rescued by fire fighters from a sinkhole.
On Tuesday, January 21, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue service were called to reports of a dog who was stuck in a sinkhole in Whitburn.
Specialist rope rescue crews from South Shields and Hebburn’s Community Fire Stations were called to the scene of the incident.
A spokeswoman for TWFRS said: “The crews rescued a 16-month old Bedlington Terrier from the sinkhole.”
