Well-wishers lined the streets and left touching tributes as a community said its final farewells to a popular shop keeper.

The funeral of Gladys Stonehouse, who ran J&G Stonehouse Shop in Wood Terrace, Jarrow, for 65 years, took place on May 18.

Family and friends have been paying tribute to her after her death aged 96.
