People's Angels host Easter baking competition with Big Pink Dress Colin Burgin-Plews as 'Hairy Berry' judge

Baking fans are being invited to take part in a competition to raise funds for a South Tyneside cause.

The People's Angels has launched its first annual Easter bake-off competition, with Big Pink Dress runner Colin Burgin-Plews taking on the guise of ‘Hairy Berry’ to serve as judge.

All ages are welcome, adults and children, and there are four categories: savoury, biscuits, cakes and decorated eggs.

Entries are by uploading photos to the People's Angels Facebook page using the #easterbakeoff hasghtag by the end of Thursday, April 8.

Winners will be announced on Friday with ‘Fabulous Easter hamper prizes and Hairy Berry goodies’ up for grabs.

The People's Angels is a community interest company (CIC) which aims to provide help and support to people in crisis within South Tyneside.

The team specialises in supporting families in difficulty via referrals from health visitors, social workers, professional services and community groups.
