Search for missing Shropshire girl, 16, believed to be in South Shields

An appeal has been launched to help find a missing 16-year-old girl believed to have travelled from Shropshire to South Shields.

Mercedes Nota was last seen in Telford around 4pm on Saturday, July 25.

West Mercia Police believe she may have travelled to South Shields and have launched an appeal for information to help find her.

Officers from Northumbria Police have shared the appeal on social media and are urging anyone who may have seen Mercedes, or anyone with information on her whereabouts, to get in touch.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “We're helping our colleagues West Mercia Police trace a missing 16-year-old who is believed to be in the South Tyneside area.

“If you see her, let us know.”

West Mercia Police Tweeted: “Mercedes was last seen in Telford on Saturday, July 25.

Mercedes Noto, 16, was last seen in Telford on Saturday, July 25.

"It's believed she is in South Shields in South Tyneside.”

Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 586_I_250720.
