A South Shields pub has been named as the best beach-front watering hole in the UK.

The Sanddancer, at Sandhaven beach, was named number one in Countryfile’s list of the UK’s best beach restaurants and cafes. As the pub celebrates the honour, we grab our sunglasses and suncream and take a look at what it has to offer.
