Planet Circus rolls back into South Shields
Planet Circus has made a return visit to South Shields, complete with a mixture of breathtaking death-defying acts and traditional clowning around.
The travelling show, which kicked off on Tuesday, has pitched up at Temple Memorial Park in John Reid Road, South Shields, and will have performances running through until Sunday.
It is the sixth year the circus has visited South Shields.

“This is the sixth year we have been here with Planet Circus and we always receive a good reception.
“We always get a good turnout to all our shows.
This year’s performances include Team Brazil in the Splitting Globe of Death, hailed as one of the world’s most dangerous circus acts with motorcyclists speeding around inside a steel cage at over 60mph; direct from Monte Carlo, Circus Festival Gold Medal winners The Faltyny Family who will aim to amaze audiences with their whirlwind acts; from Australia, the Brophy Family will showcase their Wild West whip cracking and gun-toting spectacular, while the Eremia Brothers aim to thrill circus goers with their high-speed skill on the Wheel of Death.
A number of new acts will also be taking to the ring, including for the first time an Optimus Prime Transformer robot.

Hide AdJo added: “This year, as well as the acts people know us for, we also have a number of new acts.
“And for the first time an Optimus Prime Transformer robot will be making an appearance.”
Planet Circus travels across the country and is one of the leading names in the circus entertainment industry.
The team travel the world in a bid to find the acts which will entertain their audiences and aims to bring a mixture of traditional circus entertainment alongside more on edge-of-your-seat-style acts to the shows.
