Squirtle playing around Matilda the tortoise.

The colorful little characters have been popping up all over the place since Pokémon Go was launched in the UK last Thursday.

Pokestops are also providing talking points as many are in 'interesting' locations.

Harton Cemetery in South Shields, turns out to be a great place to stock up on Pokeballs.

While the coastal path from Souter Lighthouse in Whitburn towards Sunderland has 'numerous' stops.

And Hartlepool College has its very own Pokestop so students have no excuse to miss their lectures.

Let us know where you've been catching Pokémon, or the strangest Pokestops you've encountered, by sending in your pictures.
