Police are appealing to the public for help in finding a missing South Tyneside woman.

Northumbria Police have asked members of the public for help in finding missing Jordan Bannister.

The 23-year-old was last seen in the High Street area of Jarrow on the afternoon of Friday, August 23.

Officers have stated that she initially made some contact with a friend over the phone but she has not been heard from since.

Police and Jordan’s family are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare, with searches ongoing in an effort to locate her.

Jordan is described as a white woman, around 5ft 9ins in height, of slim build, with straight brown long hair.

She wears glasses, has a nose and tongue piercing and also often wears jewellery, including a bracelet and a necklace.

Officers say that Jordan has links to South Tyneside, as well as Southwest London - which she could have travelled to using public transport.

Jordan, or anyone who knows of her whereabouts, is asked to contact Northumbria Police by sending a direct message on social media, using the live chat function on their website, or by calling 101 quoting log NP-20240823-0460.
