Police appeal over stolen medication in South Tyneside

Police are appealing to anyone who may have found some stolen medication in South Tyneside to contact them.

Officers are also warning of the dangers of taking medication which is not prescribed to them after the tablets were reported as stolen to police from an address in the borough on Tuesday, January 26.

The prescribed drugs are Bendroflunethiazide 2.5mg x 56, Candesartan 4mg x 56, Ometeprazole 20mg x 56, Ventolin 100 micro GM inhalor x 2.

Police are warning anyone who comes across the medication not to take them but to hand them in.

Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of the drugs is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
